Tucson Saguaros Rally Past Bakersfield Train Robbers 10-7

June 11 2022 The Tucson Saguaros defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 10-7 after scoring nine runs over the final three innings. Tucson finished with 10 hits and overcame two errors, while Bakersfield collected six hits without committing an error.

Bakersfield led 5-1 after scoring four times in the fourth inning, but Tucson answered with four runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth to take control. The Train Robbers scored twice in the sixth but could not close the gap. Tucson had opened the game with one run in the first inning.

Richard Ware went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and one run for Tucson. Kendon Strachan added two hits and three RBI, while Patrick Music drove in two runs. Bakersfields Joe Curcio hit a home run and finished with one hit, two RBI and two runs; Stephen Felton also drove in two runs.

Blake Garrett earned the win for Tucson after allowing two runs on two hits in two innings. Jesse Palafox struck out four and allowed no hits or runs in 1 2/3 innings. Bakersfield starter Stanley Vargas struck out eight but allowed five runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings, and Aydan Rolph took the loss after surrendering three runs in two-thirds of an inning.
