Bakersfield Train Robbers Defeat Wasco Reserve 10-5

June 27 2022 The Bakersfield Train Robbers defeated Wasco Reserve 10-5 after breaking open a scoreless game with five runs in the third inning and five more in the fifth. Wasco answered with two runs in the third and three in the sixth but could not overcome the deficit. Bakersfield finished with 12 hits and no errors while Wasco collected 10 hits and committed two errors.

J. Nunn Jr. scored twice and went 2-for-5 with an RBI for Bakersfield. S. Felton added two hits and two RBIs while Omar Ortiz scored twice and collected two hits. Seth Strong doubled among his two hits and drove in a run. For Wasco Jessey Melendez went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs and Brody Perkes had two hits with an RBI.

Chris Rodriguez earned the win for Bakersfield after allowing 10 hits and five runs in six innings while striking out nine and walking three. Cameron Isbell worked a scoreless seventh with three strikeouts. Wasco starter Ike Horn took the loss after allowing 10 runs on eight hits in 4.2 innings with seven walks and three strikeouts; four of the runs were earned.
