June 9 2025 The Bakersfield Train Robbers defeated the San Rafael Pacifics 7-3 at Sam Lynn Ballpark. Bakersfield outhit San Rafael 10-6 and scored in five innings, overcoming an early 1-1 tie with two runs in the second and two more in the third to take a 5-2 lead.
Bakersfield added single runs in the sixth and seventh innings.
JD Leslie went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Jared Gay was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Tyler McKenna added a hit, a walk, a run and an RBI, and Ashanti Ross went 2-for-5 with a run scored. Drake Ayala and Joe Starick each doubled.
San Rafael received home runs from Kyle Guerra and
Aki Buckson. Guerra went 1-for-3 with two runs, an RBI and two walks, while Buckson went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Blake Diggle also drove in a run for the Pacifics, who scored once in the first, third and seventh innings.
Kyle Langston earned the win for Bakersfield after allowing three runs on six hits in seven innings, with three walks and three strikeouts.
Hunter Adams worked a scoreless eighth with two walks, and
Bryan Krolikowski struck out two in a scoreless ninth. San Rafael starter
Richard Kiel took the loss after surrendering seven runs, six earned, on 10 hits in eight innings.
