Dublin Pulls Away From Bakersfield With Four Run Fourth

June 19 2025 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 10-3 behind a 15-hit attack. Dublin built an early 4-2 lead through three innings before scoring four runs in the fourth to take control. The Leprechauns added one run in the seventh and another in the eighth, while Bakersfield scored its final run in the sixth.

Damone Hale went 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs and three RBI for Dublin. Donnie Gardiner also collected three hits, including two doubles and a home run, while driving in four runs. Carson Richter added two hits, and DJ Aceron Jr. had two hits and a walk. Dublin stole four bases as a team, with Dylan Leek swiping two.

Tim Nichols earned the win after allowing four hits and three earned runs in 5.2 innings. He struck out two and walked six. Kenneth Stewart followed with 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing one hit with two strikeouts, and Makana Fo closed the game with a hitless inning and two strikeouts.

A.J. Cordova took the loss for Bakersfield after surrendering nine hits and eight earned runs in four innings. The Train Robbers finished with five hits, with Joe Starick supplying their lone RBI and Joe Riddle, Jared Gay, Emilio Luna and Ashanti Ross each recording one hit.
