Train Robbers Rout Seaweed 19-6

June 23 2025 The Bakersfield Train Robbers defeated the Vallejo Seaweed 19-6 at Sam Lynn Ballpark, scoring in six innings and finishing with a 19-hit attack. Bakersfield took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, added two runs in the third and broke the game open with five runs in the fourth. The Train Robbers added four runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and three in the eighth.

Jared Gay led Bakersfield by going 4-for-4 with four runs scored and five RBIs, including a home run. Joe Starick went 3-for-5 with three runs and five RBIs and also homered, while Emilio Luna collected four hits and drove in four runs. Jumpei Ohashi added two hits and two RBIs, and Ryan Anderson scored five times while drawing three walks.

Vallejo scored once in the third, once in the fifth and four times in the sixth. Jacob Savoy had three hits and scored once, while Bryce Hayman went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Aaron Harper contributed two hits, two runs and one RBI, and Andrew Mason had two hits with one RBI as the Seaweed finished with 11 hits.

Jacob Perez earned the win for Bakersfield after allowing five hits and two runs, one earned, in five innings. He struck out three and walked two. Vallejo starter Adrian Morales took the loss after surrendering 11 hits and 10 earned runs in 3 1/3 innings. Bakersfields bullpen held Vallejo scoreless over the final 3 2/3 innings, with Hunter Adams recording 1 2/3 scoreless innings and two strikeouts.
