Vallejo Seaweed Rally Past Bakersfield Train Robbers

July 12 2025 The Vallejo Seaweed rallied past the Bakersfield Train Robbers 6-4 at Wilson Park. Vallejo broke through with five runs in the sixth inning and added another in the seventh after Bakersfield had built a 3-0 lead through three innings. Bakersfield scored once in the second, twice in the third and once in the seventh while collecting 10 hits. Tyler Warr led Bakersfield with two hits and three RBI, while Jumpei Ohashi went 3-for-5 and Emilio Luna had two hits and scored twice. Vallejo received two hits apiece from Michael Pavelchak and Aaron Harper. Bryce Hayman was credited with two RBI, and Trey Fletcher and Jacob Savoy also drove in runs for the Seaweed. Fernando Carmona earned the win for Vallejo after allowing two hits and no runs with two strikeouts in three innings of relief. David Gustafson recorded the save with a scoreless ninth that included three strikeouts. Bakersfield starter A.J. Cordova allowed three runs on three hits and five walks over 5 1/3 innings, while Jose Rivera took the loss after surrendering three runs in three innings.
