Train Robbers Roll Past Amberjacks 14-5

July 13 2025 The Bakersfield Train Robbers defeated the Monterey Amberjacks 14-5 at Sollectio Park, collecting 20 hits in the victory. Bakersfield broke through with three runs in the third inning and added single runs in the fourth and fifth to take a 5-3 lead.

Jared Gay led the Train Robbers with a 5-for-6 performance that included a home run, three runs and three RBIs. Joe Starick went 4-for-6 with four runs and three RBIs, while Jumpei Ohashi added three hits and three runs. Tyler Warr scored twice and drove in a run, and Joe Riddle contributed two RBIs.

Bakersfield expanded its advantage with three runs in the seventh, one in the eighth and five in the ninth. Monterey scored twice in the eighth but could not keep pace. Miguel Agramonte had one hit and three RBIs for the Amberjacks, while Jon Coss went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Riddle earned the win after allowing seven hits and three earned runs in six innings. He walked one and struck out five. Jayden Metz pitched two innings and allowed two runs, and Jack Martin finished with a scoreless ninth. Greg Salazar took the loss for Monterey after surrendering 14 hits and eight runs in six innings.
