San Rafael Pacifics Roll Past Bakersfield Train Robbers 18-5

July 17 2025 The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 18-5 after building an early lead and collecting 25 hits. San Rafael scored twice in the first inning, added five runs in the second, six in the third and two in the fourth to take a 15-1 advantage. The Pacifics added three runs in the sixth and finished with a 10-run margin.

Mark Hernandez led San Rafael with three hits, including a home run and two doubles, and drove in six runs. Aki Buckson went 5-for-6 with two home runs, four runs and two RBI, while John Bicos hit a home run and finished with three RBI. Kyle Guerra added three hits, four runs and two RBI, and Fred Buckson collected three hits and an RBI.

Chris Allen earned the win for San Rafael, allowing one earned run on eight hits in four innings while striking out eight. Richard Kiel worked three innings and allowed three runs, and James Courshon recorded the save with a scoreless ninth that included two strikeouts.

Bakersfield finished with 16 hits, led by Jared Gays three hits and two RBI. Sean Connolly hit a home run and drove in two runs, while Emilio Luna and Joe Riddle each had two hits. Bryan Krolikowski took the loss after allowing seven runs six earned on nine hits in two innings.
