Train Robbers Pull Away From Whiptails 10-3

June 2 2018 The Bakersfield Train Robbers defeated the California City Whiptails 10-3, scoring in four separate innings and outhitting California 11-6. Bakersfield took an early lead with one run in the first inning, added two in the third, three in the sixth and four in the seventh before California scored all three of its runs in the ninth. Rory Graf-Brennen led the Train Robbers with three hits and three RBI. Bobby Webb added two hits and one RBI, while Steve Pascaul collected two hits and drove in a run. Shane Sharkey scored twice and finished with one hit and one RBI, and Dylan Porter contributed a hit and an RBI from the mound. Porter earned the win after allowing five hits and three runs over 8 1/3 innings. He walked three and struck out six before Chris Danielson recorded the final two outs without allowing a run. California received two hits from Tino Mention, while Johnny Abbaduscky had one hit and one RBI as a pinch-hitter. Javier Taylor took the loss for the Whiptails after allowing five hits and four runs over five innings, with three earned runs, five walks and three strikeouts. Brandon Anderson surrendered six runs in 1 1/3 innings before Chris Miranda-Carr finished with 1 2/3 scoreless innings.
