BAKERSFIELD, Calif. � The San Rafael Pacifics erased an early two-run deficit with a five-run third inning and pulled away for a 10-5 victory over the Bakersfield Train Robbers on Tuesday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.

Bakersfield struck first in the bottom of the opening inning. Zach Beatty singled and Macs Carrillo followed with a double before Cade Fujii drove home Beatty with a single to left field. Carrillo then scored when Christian Altamirano grounded into a double play, giving the Train Robbers a 2-0 lead.

San Rafael answered decisively in the third. Starting pitcher James Courshon scored on a wild pitch before Aki Buckson doubled home Kyle Guerra and Fred Buckson to put the Pacifics in front, 3- 2. Calan Zemaitis then launched a two-run home run to center field, extending the advantage to 5-2.

The Pacifics added three more runs in the fifth inning. Fred Buckson scored on a wild pitch, and Jacob Savoy delivered a two-run single to center that brought home Zemaitis and Jaxson Bates. San Rafael made it 10-2 in the eighth when Guerra hit a two-run homer to center, scoring Keith Whitaker.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The San Rafael Pacifics scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back, defeating the Bakersfield Train Robbers, 18-3, on July 27, 2026, at Sam Lynn Ballpark.

San Rafael finished with 23 hits, including three home runs, and built a 14-0 lead after only three innings. Every Pacifics starter recorded at least one hit, and seven players finished with multiple hits.

Keith Whitaker and Kyle Guerra opened the game with consecutive singles before Fred Buckson drove home the first run with a single to right field. What can listeners expect when they hear a Michael Seitz broadcast?

I am a very extroverted, high-energy person and that translates into the booth. I am going to get excited when something big happens in the game and that will come through on the broadcast with my tone and volume. Each broadcast will be exciting and engaging. I also like to think I know the game of baseball inside and out. I will explain what is happening in the game, especially the less known/seen parts of the game, to help everyone tuning in to understand exactly what is happening and why it is happening. Either way, no game will be boring from my standpoint.

What got you interested in baseball broadcasting?
